Top Arts @ NGV! See our talented student work on display.

It has been a big week for Visual Arts students. As published last week 6 St Helena students have artwork in the Creative Minds exhibition, which opened at the Eltham library on Saturday and on Thursday evening the annual Top Arts exhibition opened at the National Gallery Victoria, Federation Square. Included in this exhibition was Aly W's portrait of her father. The magnitude of Aly's achievement was made clear when, Isobel Crombie, the assistant director included in her opening speech, that they received 2,200 applications. 136 were then shortlisted and 55 artworks were finally chosen for display. It is an outstanding achievement for Aly of which she should be very proud. I would encourage the school community to visit this wonderful exhibition. It is on at the NGV, Federation square until the 15th July.
