‘The Wedding Reception that goes wrong’
Morrie and Reen are two youngsters who are tying the knot in the town community hall surrounded by family, friends and unwanted guests. Their wedding reception does not go according to plan and becomes quite the struggle for the two to remain calm, cool and collected.
Dimboola is an Australian play written by Jack Hibberd. It is set in 1979 in the rural country town of Dimboola, Victoria at the wedding reception of two members from the town. Written from the perspective of the ‘everyday Aussie’, the colloquial language and bad jokes make this play highly entertaining. The comedic style of this show and the references to the Aussie ‘bogan’ culture make it relatable and hilarious!
